As many have said the mid 90's when Boro signed some of the best players in Europe.
Chelsea signing Gullit. The signing that moved them away from being shit. Think was Matthew Hardings money but a real coup at the time. Then getting Zola etc. They were not the team we know today.
Blackburn when they started buying big. Based on money of course but getting Shearer was incredible.
Notts county getting Sven as manager.
